CRANE TECHNICIAN - GANTRY CRANES
ROLE PURPOSE: • Manage and develop the services department of the company. • Excecute the service and maintenance of clients' cranes and equipment. • Manage installation projects. • Manage stocks held by the company. • Liaison with current client's of the company and promote relations. • Quoting directly to clients on minor repairs, maintenance and services. • Managing routine sales of spare parts. • Actively seek new clients to increase the companies client base. • Keep a detailed record of maintenance schedules. • Manage projects within budget and time. • Manage clients maintenance & Service strategies. QUALIFICATIONS • Trade certificate - Mechanical or Electrical • Electrical registration to work on machinery preferred but not essential SKILLS • Strong communication skills • Strong relationship management skills • Strong mechanical aptitude • Able to take the initiative • Remains calm under pressure • Well organised, structured and confident • Average computer skills • Able to read engineering drawings EXPERIENCE • Preferred but not essential 2 years practical experience with maintenance and repairs of Cranes and Hoists. • Technical knowledge and know how of major brands of hoists preferred but not essential. • Good knowledge of the Crane industry • Basic level of knowledge and working with Software programs: o WORD o EXCEL o ACCESS o ADOBE o OUTLOOK o EXPLORER Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. |
